What is the proportion of M-25 grade concrete in Kgs of cement , crushed sand and coarse aggregate?
When we want to calculate weight of concrete ingredients in kg there are two options
1. Either convert Nominal or standard mix prportaion of volume to weight by using densities of materials.
2. Go for proper mix desgin procedure which is more recommended way to determine ingredients in kg.
Actually we have to understand that even nominal mix or standard mix proportions are according to standard material specifications and it is very difficult to get these materials at very place very time so IS 456 also recommend desgin mix or mix desgin of concrete.
We have to do mix desgin with locally available material quality , type and properties and specifications.
So using or copying mix is not advisable. From tomorrow we will discuss about parameters of mix design
